Product Concept:
Kiasar Collection – This was our very first production piece. Coming from two generations of collecting old tribal and rural handwoven textiles, we found it hard to believe that new creations could stand out alongside traditional weavings. To create a new piece, it had to fully satisfy us in every way.
Repeated exposure to delicately woven pieces, such as Azerbaijani bedding wraps that had been moved for years yet remained intact and beautiful, inspired us to produce a delicate, durable, and visually appealing weaving.
During our travels in Mazandaran, encountering emerging handwoven textiles and experiencing the locals' warmth and hospitality sparked the creation of this piece – a poetic weaving with rich color and pattern variety that feels endless.
Description:
This product is entirely made of wool, finely yet densely woven. The delicate weaving gives it a visually distinct appearance compared to other handwoven pieces. Due to its relatively thin profile, it can be used not only as a floor covering but also as a wall hanging or even a tabletop cover.
For users sensitive to the flatness and neatness of rugs on the floor, we recommend using a rug pad. The pad can be sent separately or attached to the kilim upon request.
