Product Concept:
The name “Gabra” comes from the first letters of the words “Gabbeh” and “Rahat” (meaning comfort). This handwoven piece is designed with a highly minimal aesthetic, using an innovative weaving technique where knots are created on a flat surface and are not visible from the back.
Due to the long pile of this product, some shedding may occur during the first few weeks of use. This is completely normal and will subside after a few vacuumings and regular use.
Description:
This product is entirely made of wool, finely yet densely woven. The craftsmanship gives it a visually distinct appearance compared to other handwoven pieces. Its relatively thin profile allows it to be used as a floor covering, wall hanging, or even as a tabletop covering.
For users who are sensitive to the flatness of rugs on the floor, a rug pad is recommended. The pad can be sent separately or, upon request, attached to the kilim for a seamless delivery.
The goal was to create a rug-like weave that aligns with modern design while remaining comfortable, and at the same time conveying the unique tactile sensation of natural wool, offering a sense of calm and relaxation.
