Bring a piece of light into your home.

"Khorshid Khanom" (Lady Sun) is inspired by the talismans of the Bakhtiari tribe. In the past, it was considered a source of light, and its positive energy was used in the rooms of brides and newborns as a symbol to ward off misfortune.

The sun motif is a beloved design among embroiderers because it brings them a sense of joy and tenderness as they work—perhaps due to its mystical roots or the vibrant colors woven into its essence. Whatever the reason, you can feel the positive energy of its creator in every stitch.

Interestingly, women often kiss the face of Khorshid Khanom while working on it.

    Creation Process:

The sun design is inspired by a symbol used among the Baloch people as a talisman against evil. The stitching technique has been passed down through generations among the Bakhtiari women, who inhabit the barren mountainous regions along the borders of Iran, Pakistan, and Afghanistan.

This age-old handcraft plays a key role in the daily lives of these women, particularly in the making of their traditional garments. In addition to embroidery, we have used a thread-twisting technique in crafting this piece.
