The idea behind the work

"Singar Belt" In the past, when ships intended to travel, two ships would start moving in harmony and at the same time so that they could help each other in the adversities of the sea, and in the local dialect, this act is called Singar. Singar means companion and fellow traveler. During the entire time that men traveled on the ships for several months, women, unaware of their condition, carried the burden of the household. And in their solitude, they waited for the return of the Singar. The Singar Belt is a story of the sea and the people who live beside it.

Explanation

The technique used in this work is Khus Dozi. Khus Dozi is one of the types of beautiful and authentic Iranian embroidery that uses a type of thin flat thread (usually golden and silver in color) to tie small knot-like shapes on honeycomb nets. And by placing these knots next to each other, a design and pattern is created. All these designs are done by local artists mentally and without any plan. There is no precise information available about the history of Khus Dozi. The threads used in the past were made of gold and silver. Currently, Khus Dozi is common in all regions of Hormozgan and parts of Fars, Bushehr, Kerman, and Sistan and Baluchestan that border Hormozgan.
